Ken Knueven, President and Chief Strategist
Ken has been instrumental in the development, growth, and leadership of innovative organizations for over twenty years. A senior executive from the information technology industry, he has extensive experience with the Fortune 500 as well as the Public Sector, Higher Education and Nonprofit sectors. He's been especially interested in the expansion of innovative technologies within our communities.
Ken founded nuecors to help organizations re-start for success, with a particular emphasis helping them focus on core competencies, latent markets and measurable results. Bringing relationships with successful leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, technologists, professionals and government officials — he works with corporate entities to identify their most critical issues and outcomes to be successful.
Presently, as a social impact investor and strategy consultant, Ken is working to advance and lead initiatives that engage with a wide variety of social entrepreneurs and stakeholders in Higher Education - developing strong champions, fostering ideas and coalitions, and creating the environments that ensure all students can succeed in their learning pathways, in their careers, and in life. Ken is involved with a number of boards in the technology, higher education and nonprofit sectors, focusing his time and attention on governance issues, as well as sustainable community engagement and development efforts.
Prior to nuecors, Ken held a number of senior leadership roles with innovative, early-round, technology start-ups, and non-profits where he was responsible for helping them exceed their revenue targets as well as identifying, evaluating and establishing strategic partnerships and other ventures that resulted in new market entry, expansion and in certain instances M&A.
Ken also spent nearly eight years at Microsoft, where he was responsible for leading teams of sales and capture professionals in pursuit of very large and extremely complex solutions involving the cloud platform-as-a-service, virtual and on-premise server environments, multiple software applications, and most importantly -- a variety of strategic partners. He was one of the few at Microsoft to receive the Microsoft Circle of Excellence Award.
